As quick-commerce giants like Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart accelerate their diversification beyond groceries, healthcare supply chain startup DocPharma has raised $2 Million (₹19 Crore) in a Pre-Series A funding round to build the mission-critical fulfillment backbone for quick pharma delivery.
The investment round was led by asset management firm Equentis, with participation from existing backer 100Unicorns, angel network Vinners, and marquee pharmaceutical domain investors.
Founded in 2024 by Saquib Ali, Shashank Rai, and Sagar Chauhan, DocPharma operates as specialized B2B micro-fulfillment infrastructure. Through its proprietary operating system, DocPharma One, the startup manages hyper-local dark stores that stock upwards of 40,000 medical and wellness SKUs under stringent regulatory oversight.
Unlike standard grocery warehouses, healthcare logistics demands rigorous compliance: licensed registered pharmacists must verify digital prescriptions, while active temperature telemetry must guarantee cold-chain integrity for critical biologics and insulins. DocPharma provides this specialized layer as a turnkey service to health platforms, hospitals, and D2C nutraceutical brands.
Currently operational across 12 cities with over 800,000 orders fulfilled at an impressive 95%+ fulfillment rate, the fresh capital will allow DocPharma to expand its presence to 50 cities and launch 100 new licensed micro-hubs.
'We built this supply chain rule by rule, one licensed dark store at a time, and that discipline is what lets it hold up as we scale into 50 cities,' stated co-founder Shashank Rai. 'Enabling urgent healthcare delivery in under 30 minutes requires zero margin for error.'
